You are not really creating your 'own' pattern. You are copying it from a ready-made shirt.

I hope you have since learned how to do this correctly. This video shouldn't even be online, in my opinion. When adding ribbed cuffs to sleeves, the sleeve seam is sewn together, and the cuff is sewn into a circle, into a cuff, and then the cuff is attached to the sleeve. Attaching the cuff to a sleeve panel and *then* sewing it into a tube results in the inner seam going all the way to the end of the cuff, which it shouldn't do.

I remembered making some of the 0-3 mths and 3-6mths for my niece when she was a newborn and her mom loved it sooo much she had her wearing them regularly, because they covered her diaper and looked sooo cute, that it was even used for their next daughter as well. I think I need to try the 1 with the bias tape next

so you measure the elastic to your waist EXACTLY? No extra - then your seam is 1/2" in so its technically 1" shorter than your waist... to make it snug???

Any advice on getting the waist measurement right? I mess up every circle skirt I try to make because I just can't get the waist measurement right 😢 I'm going to try to salvage it with the elastic but it's just unfortunate at best
